Stillman RV Park is just 6.4 miles from the Sacramento Zoo according to Google Maps. Visitors and volunteers are encouraged, so if you love animals, be sure to make a visit to the Sac zoo.
The Sacramento Zoo opened June 2, 1927, by William Land Park.It started out just over four acres, but is now over 14 acres. The city took over day to day operations in 1997, and later added Sacramento to the name.
Animals continue to be brought in throughout the years. Some of the more recent include a saki monkey, eleven leopard tortoise eggs, crested screamers, a female bongo, fifty-eight pounds at birth, and four thick-billed parrots.
